In India, the electricity is 220V (like in the UK, not the US) and most of the plugs are round pins.
If you have gadgets with square pins or US style plugs, you will need an adaptor. Most computer power supplies are switchable (read the box, and it will say 110-220) and you can plug them in straight away, but otherwise, if your gadgets need 110v, you will need a step up transformer. These are available at electrical stores.
Don’t worry about bringing an adaptor though. We can lend you one of ours if need be, and power strips with multi-plugs (where you can plug in any kind of device)and adapters are readily available at the corner electrical store for Rs 150-450 (about $3-9).
